Back Home !!
Wow.. it felt like that travel never ever ended !! But it did. And Im now back home in my apartment in Gothenburg. We landed in London airport after a long flight from Singapore. I was feeling so sick. I just want to give an advise, dont fly to New Zealand during your first weeks of pregnancy. Even if they feed you all the time, the food was so irregular and the times got so weird. Yuck !! Anyway. Thats over :) We waited in London for another 6 hours. Then we took the last 2 hours flight to Stockholm. I saw in front of me when I was in the flight how I would walk off, and hundreds of people would stand there, cheering and waiting for me :) screaming WELCOME BAAAAAAAACK!!! But that didnt happen. I got a small jump and cheer from Andrew and mormor was waiting outside the gate with the camera :) Perfect !! :)
It felt weird to be back again. But it doesnt feel like I have been away for 2 years. Mormor told me that I will notice when people start singing Swedish songs I've never heard, or when people talk about happenings I dont know about. We got back to mormor, had a niiiiiiiiccccccccceeeeeeeeeeee home cooked dinner and went to bed :)
Next day was time for the final travel. We took a bus from Sthlm bus terminal. When we walked down to the underground we were met by a man, soo drunk, having a wee on the escalator. I looked at Andrew and thought, great first experience for him.. pause not... :( Busride was terrible. The bus didnt stop anywhere, which I thought it would do so I didnt eat on the whole day. Which makes me sick :(
But we finally reached Gothenburg and we were met by my happy mother and her husband Joakim. They took us home to their place for another woonderful home cooked dinner :) Its luxury with home made food when you have been traveling for so long.
So yesterday we woke up at my mothers place. Played some Wee, which proved to everyone that I am a master in sitting still. Like I didnt know that already. Broke all records HA !! Then we took Andrew for a quick sightseeing up at Ramberget. We went to IKEA to buy some stuff that was missing back home, went to buy food for a month and then... me and Andrew kind off died in the bed. 7 in the evening. Until for me 4 this morning, but Andrew is still sleeping.
It was soooooo GREAT to see everyone again. Mormor, Sven, Mamma, Joakim, Catarina and Patrik. So now I will spend the next days, looking for work and seeing people. Well,I will probably not going crazy trying to catch up with everyone, but at least my father and uncle for now :)
Soo with this, I end this blog. It was supposed to be a travel blog and now Im home. I will start writing again cuz I do think it is fun. But I will have to give it a rest while I figure things out..!!
THANKS AND GOODBYE !! LOVE YA ALLLL!!!
Singapore
Some things just make me very confused sometimes. Like today when we were on the flight and the crew came out and gave us burning hot small towels. I didnt get it at all, but then I looked around and saw all people putting them on their face. How did they know what to do with those? And why do they give you face towels anyway? My armspits was a bit smelly so I cleaned them with the towel instead. :)
Byyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllloooooooooooooooooooo
Christchurch!!
Its freeeeeeeeeeezing cold here...!!!
So from tomorrow we will be flying for around 30 hours to get to Stockholm.
Good Luck to me :)
Sunny day
We are taking a goodbye round through town today, saying goodbye to everyone. Sad, but Im happy. I am over living in a small town were I cant do anything without asking people to drive me here and there. Where is the independency? If you dont have a drivers licens, you need buses and trams. But we will miss the friendly people here off course.
Packing
We bought cookies to all our work mates as a goodbye thingy. :) We are not leaving here until wednesday so we will still have time to say goodbye to people tomorrow and maybe even wednesday morning.
Seeeeeeeeeeee YAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Cecilia means Blind.
Did you know that my name, Cecilia, means BLIND!?? I was looking up some names yesterday and I am just wondering what my mother was thinking when she named me "blind". Did she know I was going to be half blind? HMM!!
Andrew means warrior. He thought that was perfect. :P
Today was our last working day. Noo more cleaning toilets. No more making beds. No more no more no more!!! When I came home today I took a loong hot shower, scrubbing those chemicals of from me.
And yea, do you remember that I wrote the other day that I bought a body to the baby. That might have made sence in Swedish but when Andrew read it, it sounded like I had bought the baby an actual body of flesh and blood ;P But I did mean, as Andrew pointed out, that we bought the baby a "baby grow".
Seee yoooooouuuuuuu !!!
Pinch and a punch
for the first of the month
I had never heard that before I came traveling. If you dont know what I am talking about I will tell you. Every first day in a month you say what I just wrote in the top, and you pinch and punch someone. I havent got any today, cuz I just realized now what day it is. I will do it to Andrew when he comes back from training though. Moahaha
Cant believe its May. I have been in NZ for 4 months and almost seen nothing. Mission incomplete. But at least I got to work for some Kiwis and meet fun people. :)
Oh. And yesterday Andrews old workmates invited us for free dinner at restaurant. That was nice. Finally some real food ;) I am starting to get hungry all the time now :P
Have fun pinch punching people today
In a bit yaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
Mormor Marita
The season seems to be over now here in NZ. We have almost nothing to do at work. It is easy though. Just walking around finding extra works. Andrew hates it. He wants it to be challenging all the time and 2 cabins and a few showers is a bit too easy going. Anyway, only 3 more working days for us.
Andrew is also practising swedish now. You english people wont understand this so this is for the Swedish :) He is really good actually and he sounds so funny when he sits in the sofa and all the sudden says "URSAKTA!!! Forstar du svenska?" Sen sager han ocksa saker som "du suger min flickvan" vilket inte e lika snallt :P
He is doing a good work and he will be ready for Sweden when its time :)
Look who is talking
Are you taking your folic acid?? Huh?
Oh after three months you will feel so good.
You cant wear that, you cant eat that. Sit still.. Go out. AAAH!! How does people know so much? Has the whole world gone a pregnancy course that I missed?
Anyway. You should all see Look who is talking :) I will see it again.
Still no tickets. We might try stand by tickets and hope for the best. :)
Tudeloooos
The song
He sings
"And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right"
And I was thinking, why would he go then? Because it was a dream he used to have? I know its just a song and Andrew thinks Im all nuts, but sometimes things stucks in my mind. And it feels like many people do things that they dont really enjoy, or they dont really want to do anymore, just because themselves or someone else had or have that dream.
Eh this doesnt make sence. But I will give you an example. You get the offer to sail around the world. You dont really like sailing and you dont feel that thats something you would enjoy doing, . You might have had a dream a few years ago to sail around the world, but after a sailing vacation you realized it wasnt really what you wanted to do, But everyone else tells you how lucky you are, and how cool it will be. So you do it. Just so you can tell people after that you done it, even if it wasnt worth it. Do you know what I mean? And you come back home, thinking it was horrible all those days out on the ocean, you were terrifeid. But you still tell people how cool it was, cuz they expect it.
Lesson for the day. Do what you love and follow your dreams :) Not what other people love and expect.
Okej. Weird blog today :) But anyway. We still have problem finding tickets from London to Sweden. For the moment it looks like the only cheap tickets we can buy wil be the day after, which wil force us to spend a night in London, which we really cant afford. So we dont know either to buy the expensive tickets, or spend a night in London and go for the cheap once the next morning. What ever we do it will be expensive, and we dont really know what wil work out better. HMMMMMM!!!!!!!!
World trip is over
I am almost crying when Im writing this. It is maybe not so weird as I cry to everything for the moment. I was so upset the other day when I heard the song "Home" you know, I waaaaaaanna go home, I miiiss youuu yoou knooow ! Cried like a baby. Anyway. Im emotional. Thats it. I have so much thoughts going around in my head now.
So what countries did I get to see? Australia, South Africa, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia and New Zealand. Thats a good trip :) I have really had the most wonderful experience and I met so many wonderful people. And off course, I met the man of my dreams :)
I am already planning my next trip with the baby though ;) I know it will be different, but in a good way. And as I always said. If you really want something, you can make it come true.
uh
Anzac Day
Internet didnt work yesterday. But now Im back.
Its a public holiday in NZ today called Anzac day. It is a day to remember those New Zealanders and Australians who fought in turkey during world war 1. I dont know if you would say celebrate Anzac day? Anyway they have Anzac day in both Australia and New Zealand. I havent noticed anything special this year except that people is wearing this so called "poppy" (on pic). But I also havent been in town yet. It might be something going on there.
Last year I was in Australia on Anzac day. It was a group of people with kilts playing saxophone to the sunrise on the beach and me and Toby had planned to see it. We must have woken up around 5.30 or something and we put our clothes on, grabbed the camera and off we went. We realized that we were a bit late out cuz the sun had allready started to rise, so we ran on the beach all the way there (it was maybe a 15 min walk) but we got there too late. So we missed it. There was still heaps of people there, and soldiers and all that. And we saw a beautiful sunrise while we were running on the beach. So you know, it wasnt too bad anyway :)
I have to see what this years Anzac will bring to my memory box. It will at least give me some extra money for working on a public holiday ;) Might go and buy a poppy at least.
moving house!?
I got my blood test result back today. All good. Apparently Im blood group O positive :) Didnt know that!
It looks like the flight traffic is more or less back to normal. Might be time to go back to good old sweden. If anyone knows about a work in Sweden for a none swedish speaking person. Please tell me :)
In a biiiiit yaaaaaaaa!!
